Title Dayton Avenue Bridge
Description Construction of new Dayton Avenue Bridge, looking east on upstream side of Los Angeles River. The Dayton Avenue bridge replaced the Old Dayton Avenue bridge built in 1903. It was later renamed the Riverside Drive-Dayton Avenue Bridge, when Dayton Avenue was renamed North Figueroa as a continuation of original Figueroa Street. The bridge was completed in 1928, and was designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2008.
