Description |
East Seventh Street Bridge and Viaduct over the Los Angeles River, improvements to allow for automobile and trolley traffic. The original bridge was built in 1910 and the second deck over the original solid arches was added by Merrill Butler, who was the city's chief bridge engineer during the 1920s and was responsible for construction of most of the city's historic bridges still standing. The bridge was designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural-Monument in 2008. |
